We expect to see the traffic increase by 0

The traditional arms of annual railway between Paris airports and the airlines about the evolution of the royalties that it paid to the Manager of the Paris airports short turns. President and CEO of Aéroports de Paris, Pierre Graff offers to freeze these charges in 2010 and then very gradually increase until 2015, in view of the crisis in air transport and slow expected resumption of traffic, and despite of scheduled investments EUR 2.4 billion between 2011 and 2015.

In an interview with the "Echos", Pierre Graff explains this choice. He pleaded for an amendment to the regulation from 2016, which would encourage the company to further develop its activities complementary to its core business, such as business or real estate.

You are currently engaged in a double negotiation: with airlines to determine the evolution of air fees that they pay in 2010 Paris airports, and with the State to prepare for the next contract for economic regulation 2011-2015 of the company. Where are you on these two issues

These procedures are distinct form, with different bargaining schedules. The rate for 2010 will be applicable in April. For the future contract 2011-2015, I hope have finalized its drafting with the regulator - i.e. ministries of economy and ecology - at the end of the first half of 2010. But on the merits, two records meet since, in both cases, what is at stake, it is the competitiveness and attractiveness of puts Paris face, for example, the competing airports of Frankfurt and London.

Our basic assumption is that, after the very serious crisis began in the summer 2008, air traffic will stabilize from the next year before start gradually rising. We expect to see the traffic increase by 0.5 in 2010, from 2 in 2011, from 2.4 in 2012, and 3.9 in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

In view of this, and after very heavy investments-3 billion euros - between 2005 and 2010 that we have been answering and to improve our market share by adding an additional 25 million passengers capacity - to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport Paris-Orly - equivalent, we have enough capacity to meet the needs, at least until 2020. On the other hand, we must continue to invest significantly in the servicing, and the modernization of our facilities. One of my top priorities is improving the quality, pledge of future attractiveness of the place of Paris.

How many encrypt these investments

Over the period 2011-2015, I the figure to EUR 2.4 billion, a very large sum even if it is less 20 investment of the previous period. Our goal is to improve the competitiveness of our platforms, that is why we propose to airlines a freezing of tariffs in 2010, a great effort since, apart from Amsterdam airport, which is our partner, the other major European airports will increase their royalties from 6 to 8 next year. For the suite, we offer a progressive evolution of prices, i.e. inflation for 2011, inflation plus 1 for 2012, inflation over 1.5 for 2013, then inflation plus 2.2 in 2014 and 2015.

The remaining continued investment and tariff increases moderate: your shareholders will not appreciate...

Our shareholders will soon understand that, behind these proposals, there is an industrial strategy and approach to, not the very short term, but the medium-long term and the creation of value for the company and its shareholders.

First of all, low prices mean increased our market share, which is good for our shareholders. Second, we maintain a high volume of investments to strengthen the place of Paris against the competition. Finally, I propose that we should adopt a system of "managed fund. In this system, out of the perimeter of regulation, in addition to our real estate diversification activities, business activities. This proposal maintains capacity for long-term on the perimeter while regulated investment encouraging us to increase our attractiveness and to further develop our complementary activities.

The Court of Auditors recommends this virtuous system, and this is already practiced in Frankfurt and Amsterdam. It is therefore a motivating and incentive system.

Back to investment. Where will be the modernisation effort

We still have much work ahead to Paris Charles de Gaulle to align the old facilities on the same standards of quality and comfort to the 2nd terminal, including. On terminal 1, it remains to renovate the vicinity of the building and boarding satellite. 2B terminal, in my view, is not at the level of what we owe to our customers. For terminals 2A and 2 c, it will create a central space to transform these two terminals in two large rooms to boarding. The D is also shifted to the needs, we shall take advantage of the opening of the 4 satellite to close it and restore it.

As Paris-Orly, we have two critical programs. We will fully remodel the halls 3 and 4 from Orly West and Orly South, the renovation of the international circuit being completed, we will attack the departure area of the Schengen area for travellers to the 25 countries of the Schengen area where you can move freely.
